Spring Cleaning: Public Areas - Floors

Continuing with our topic of Commercial Spring Cleaning:

Your facility's public areas are the "face" of your company. Here's some suggested things to check at this time of the year. This isn't an exhaustive list, but we hope this will help you target the areas that need cleaning and repairing.

Floors:

Now is a good time to make sure that all flooring is spick and span and not in need of repair. You may want to inspect all flooring for: Carpet repairs and updates. Look for rips or thin places in carpeting, carpet stains, frayed edges or loose molding - particularly in transition areas from one height to another or one type of flooring to another. For tiled areas: check for loose or cracked pieces and molding, update the grout, and determine if any pieces need to be replaced. Facility Care can help you update and refresh both your carpeted areas and your tiled areas.

For concrete areas: You might want to check for cracks, any areas that need to be deeply cleaned and stains removed, sections that are a slip hazard, and areas that included different levels and transitions to different flooring. Check your mats that are on the concrete flooring for slip hazards.

For wood and vinyl flooring areas: This may be a good time for special cleaning. Perhaps stripping of old wax or cleaning residue and resealing, applying a protective layer that fits your type of wood or vinyl, and checking the transition areas for potential rips, trips, or current stains.

Corners and Molding: This is a perfect time to have Facility Care deep clean those pesky corners between walls, and the wall and floor! Dirt can really get piled up and stuck in those areas. Additionally, we can specially clean the floor's molding. Perhaps you might inspect it to see if any needs to be replaced.

Facility Care Commercial Cleaning would be GLAD to help you with these projects!
